2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge

We all have those books. We buy them, win them, they're gifted to us.. Then we put them up on a bookshelf and there they stay, collecting dust, waiting for the time when we'll finally decide to pick them up...

I am excited to be participating in the TBR pile reading challenge being hosted by Evie at Bookish and some other wonderful blogs. I have never participated in a reading challenge and this will be the 2nd one I am doing for 2012. Luckily they both go through the entire year, so I should do just fine. This one is really great because I definitely have a lot of books that I bought and was really excited about, but just didn't get to them. This is a great motivator for me to really read them. The challenge levels are as follows:

1-10 - A Firm Handshake
11-20 - A Friendly Hug
21-30 - A Sweet Kiss
31-40 - Love At First Sight
41-50 - Married With Children

I'm going to stick with A Friendly Hug. I think that is a level I can actually do. With doing the DAC 2012, and all the sequels and other books coming out in 2012 that I want to read, I am hoping that I can read at least one book a month that I meant to read this year. (I think that is setting myself up for another TBR pile reading challenge for the following year lol.) Going into 2012 I already have a huge list of books TBR and couldn't be happier about it. So here my list of books for the TBR pile reading challenge (I am hanging my head in shame at some of them that I can't believe I didn't read. Especially the first 2 on the list.)

  • Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
  • Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
  • Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday
  • The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab
  • Between by Cyndi Tefft
  • Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr (been meaning to read this series forever)
  • Bright Young Things by Miora Young
  • Jenny Pox by JL Bryan
  • Anathema by K.A Tucker
  • Fallen Angel by Heather Terrell
  • Born at Midnight and Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter
*Update 12/1911 I would like to add a few more books to this list which may take place of some I had previously listed. I would love to get to all of them, but don't know if that will happen.

  • Exiled by Rashelle Workman
  • Shattered Souls by Mary Lindsey
  • Touch by Jus Accardo
  • Remembrance by Michelle Madow
  • Meant to Be by Tiffany King
Well, that is my tentative list for the TBR pile reading challenge. I may decide that I really would rather get to a different book instead of what I have on there. I have made a page on my blog with a list of my books, and will cross them off there as I go too.  I am really looking forward to it, and I am ready for the challenge! What's on your list if you are doing it? I would love to see what others have put off and want to get to. Just leave your link in my comments and I will check it out.

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
