In My Mailbox (3)

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren to show what bookish things you have gotten in the past week, or month, or however frequently you would like to do it.

I am trying to not really buy books until I catch up on the ones I have already bought, but there are always the exceptions that I must have. First I want to apologize for the grainy pics. For some reason when uploading to blogger directly from my phone they look weird. I am going to start putting them in the computer first then to my posts and they will look nice and clear.

This week I got:

A Shadow Bound postcard, signed by Rachel Vincent from Arianne over at Arianne Cruz

A really cool The Pledge tote bag and signed postcard from Kimberly Derting as a gift for helping promote her book as part of the Street Team.

I bought myself Obsidian (in paperback and digital because of the bonus scenes from Daemon's PoV) and Half-Blood by Jennifer Armentrout, because they are awesome books and the covers are really pretty. (I also ordered Daimon, but it hasn't come in yet, so that will have to go in next weeks post)

I also got approved for Halflings on Netgalley thanks to Zonderkidz publishing

I got the book for Free Book Friday on my Nook too, but I honestly don't remember what it is.

  • Publisher: Zonderkidz
  • Publication date: 1/17/2012
  • Pages: 288

I want to say thank you to Arianne Cruz, Kimberly Derting, NetGalley, and Zonderkidz publishing. What's great stuff did you get this week? Leave me your link in a comment and I will check it out.

  1. Hehe the girl on the cover of Halflings kinda looks like Kristen Stewart a bit!

I still need to read Obsidian.. have it from NG... :)

    Lots of fun swag!!

  2. Going to read Damion this week & decide whether to get Obsidion.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. @ Just a Lil Lost. I loved Obsidian. Obviously otherwise I wouldn't have bought both the digital and paperback copies.

@ Amy Daimon is the prequel to Half-Blood. Obsidian is a different series, and super awesome!!

  4. Obsidian and Half-Blood were excellent. Seems like everybody is getting Halflings this week.

  5. @ Grace I loved Half-blood and Obsidian! (can't wait until my pretty copy of Daimon arrives from Amazon!) They were both awesome and I really wanted them in all their prettiness for my bookshelf, not just in my Nook.

  6. Obsidian was amazing! I really need to read Half-Blood! Happy Reading!

  8. @ A Beautiful Madness, Half_Blood was really a great book!

@ the story siren, Thank you!!

  9. Oh, I'm really interested in Half-Blood and Shadow Bound. I haven't had a signed book yet (mainly an e-reader) so I'm jealous. Hope you enjoy them!

  10. @ Alisa, Shadow Bound is just a postcard. I wish it was the book. It doesn't come out until next year. I read mostly on my ereader too, but I love pretty books. :)

  11. Oh, I just loved signed goodies! Shame that I don't have very many :( But, anyway, Shadow Bound looks good. I noticed a lot of adult book readers have been getting antsy for this one. And honestly who wouldn't with that cover! I need both Half-Blood AND Obsidian! I'm hoping to get 'em for Christmas.

Have a fabulous reading week, Amy!

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
