One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.

Before I read Divergent I hadn't read many other Dystopian novels. It set the bar pretty high for other Dystopian novels. I loved the story and the characters, and I can't wait for Insurgent to come out. I know it seems far away, but I am dying to read it.

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
I am currently reading: Unearthly by Cynthia Hand and Listening to the audio book of Legend by Marie Lu.
So far both are really great. I am really enjoying Unearthly. I haven't gotten very far in Legend yet, but it has definitely pulled me in.

I recently finished reading: On A Dark Wing by Jordan Dane. You can read my review here

Next I am going to read: Ashes by Estevan Vega I think. I loved Arson and want to know what happens next.

What books are you waiting for? What's your WWW Wednesday? Leave me a link and I will check it out.

  2. Thanks Traci. I am really excited for this book. Divergent was a the book that really made me like Dystopian novels. I hadn't read many before I read Divergent.

  3. I can't wait for this book as well. Divergent was the first dystopian book I read so it set my level of expectations high. I was lucky enough to read Shatter Me after so I wasn't disappointed.

I just bought Unearthly so hopefully I'll be able to read it soon. Glad your enjoying it.

  4. Neri, It definitely did set the bar high. I have read quite a few dystopians since, and some have been good, but others just can't live up to it. Shatter Me was awesome. I am just about done with Unearthly and I love it.

  5. I've yet to read this series, but after all the amazing reviews from it, it's definitely on my TBR list for 2012. New follower!

  6. Let's seee. I am currently reading Embrace by Cherie Colyer. I am reading a review copy for the upcoming Blog Tour that I am gonna be a part of. I am actually really suprised by how good it is! The last book I read before that is The Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers and it was amazing! Definately on my all time favorite list! Not quite sure what I'm gonna read next. I got in Harbinger and can't wait to start on it, but I also have had Irises for a few weeks and just got in Cinder ( squeee!!! ) but I am thinking I may take a break and read a book just for fun! So possibly Pretty Little Liars book 1. We'll see... lol
