Cover love: Shift by M.R Merrick, Rebel Heart by Moira Young

I know that these covers have been out for a few days now, but I just want to show some cover love for them. Shift by M.R. Merrick is book #2 of his Protectors series. Rebel Heart is book #2 of Moira Young's Dust Lands series. I am really looking forward to both of these books, and the covers could not be more awesomely perfect! For real! Take a look.

Overview
Devastated by the loss of his mother, Chase is trying to balance the life he’s been left with, a family he’s still getting to know, and power he never thought he’d have. He doesn’t understand why the Goddess has named him the Protector and granted him two gifts: the Mark, a tattoo that now covers his back, and the ring. But between getting interrogated by the Circle and psychic attacks from Riley, the Mark is the least of his concern. There’s a demon inside Rayna that’s fighting to be released, and it’s not her inner witch. It’s something else–a monster threatening to tear her apart.

As Chase struggles to control his magic, his enemies are closing in. Everyone has staked a claim on his ring, and destroying it may be his only chance to stop Riley. But Chase must decide if stopping him is worth risking the lives of everyone he cares about, or if protecting the ring will be enough to save his world.

Sounds awesome right? Besides sounding really great, how absolutely amazing is that cover. If you haven't read book #1, Exiled yet, you really need to.

  3. Great covers! I am huge on covers...when just looking at a book store for any book that pops out to me, it's always the cover, I sometimes won't even read the back of the book description...I'll just buy it. LOL. I especially like Shift...and I see that book one is only $0.99 on the kindle right now...I might have to go buy it even though it will be sitting around for a very long time. :-(

    1. Yeah, I understand books waiting around abandoned for a long time. I have so many books that I bought and still haven't read. There's just not enough time. It's so hard to pick and choose which ones to read first. Exiled is a really quick read though. (At least I read it really quick) Hopefully you will be able to get to it before too long. The good thing is, at least when you do read it, you won't have to wait for Shift. :)

  4. Re: Rebel Heart -- really? I'm not the biggest fan of the redesign for this series. It just looks like a cheesy movie poster, to me. But to each their own, right? :)

    1. I did like the Hardcover of Blood Red Road, don't like the paperback cover as much. I do like the cover for Rebel Heart. It does kind of look like a movie poster though lol!!

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
