Teaser Tuesday (18)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! You should too, it's really fun and a great way to find out about other awesome books, and blogs. Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser this week is from The Academie by Susanne Dunlap. I actually just finished it.

  • Publisher: Bloomsbury USA
  • Publication date: 2/28/2012
  • Edition number: 1
  • Pages: 368
My Teaser

We are silent. I am thinking how selfish I am, to worry about the state of my heart when the future of France is at stake, when my stepfather may be mortally injured. (pg 276 eARC)

This book is in a multi-POV. The teaser I used is from Hortense's POV.  Being that I am reading it on an eReader it's hard to find a good teaser. It's not very easy to just flip through the book. My review for this book should be up in a few days. Leave me a link and I will be happy to check out your Tuesday post.

  1. Ooh how was it? Canadians are not good enough to read this one apparently!

    1. You know, I'm still not quite sure what I think. I liked it, but nothing that blew me away. I am thinking 3.5 stars.

  2. I've been curious about this one. I like the teaser, but will wait for your review before deciding.
    Thsnks for sharing!

    1. It was good, but not great. I am still letting it settle.

  3. I actually really like that! Pretty awesome quote considering you had to sift through your Kindle. I really like historical fiction when it's done well, so I'll have to add this one to my TBR pile. :)

    Teaser Tuesday

    1. It happened to be the page I was on at the time actually. I finished it last night. Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Hmmm.... how many POV's cause sometimes that gets a little much. Sounds okay.

Thanks for visiting StuckInBooks.com TT today!

    1. Three PoV's. It wasn't too bad. The story was pretty good though.

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
