My waiting on Wednesday this Week is Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent. Book six in her amazing Soul Screamers series. If you haven't read all of the other books, the book description is spoilery! I have put the text in white, so if you want to read it just highlight. (Sorry, I know it's a pain in the butt. I just don't want to spoil anyone if they accidentally see it if they don't want to)
- Publisher: Harlequin
- Publication date: 6/26/2012
- Pages: 304
I died on a Thursday—killed by a monster intent on stealing my soul.
The good news? He didn’t get it.
The bad news? Turns out not even death will get you out of high school…
Covering up her own murder was one thing, but faking life is much
harder than Kaylee Cavanaugh expected. After weeks spent
“recovering,” she’s back in school, fighting to stay visible to the human world, struggling to fit in with her friends and planning time alone with her new reaper boyfriend.
But to earn her keep in the human world, Kaylee must reclaim
stolen souls, and when her first assignment brings her face-to-face with an old foe, she knows the game has changed. Her immortal status won’t keep her safe. And this time Kaylee isn’t just gambling with her own life….

I am going crazy waiting for this book. I absolutely love the Soul Screamers series, and the way If I Die ended just has me all wound up for this one. Now that the book description has finally been released I am seriously dying to read it!!
WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
I am currently reading: Shadows on the Moon by Zoe Marriot. I really didn't want to read it this early (I got it from NetGalley and it doesn't come out until April 24th), but for some reason it downloaded, and it is about to expire so I need to read it before it does.
I recently finished reading: Wither by Lauren DeStefano, Shadows (Lux #0.5) by Jennifer L Armentrout, Starters by Lissa Price, and In Leah's Wake by Terri Guiliano Long.
Next I am going to read: Chosen Ones by Tiffany Truitt, On The Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves, and Cross My Heart by Sasha Gould. I really wanted to get to Fever, and Pandemonium, but I have review books to get out of the way first.
Leave me a link to your Waiting on Wednesday or WWW Wednesday post and I will check it out!

Great pick! I have been meaning to start the Soul Screamers series for some time now so thanks for reminding me. I have heard so many great things about it and I hope to read it all before the next book comes out.

It's such an awesome series. It's definitely a series you should make time to read if you can.
DeleteOmg I still haven't read this series Amy!! AAAAH. I've had book 1 at home for like 9 months too! Looking forward to seeing what you think of Chosen Ones! I'll be reading it in a few weeks and so far it's all positive stuff I hear! :)
ReplyDeleteWHY?!!! You NEED to. It's seriously so good. You will love it! I have heard that Chosen Ones is awesome too. I'm not part of the blog tour, but I did get an eARC to read so I am really excited to get to it.

Thank you. My review for Starters will be up tomorrow. In Leah's Wake Should be up on Saturday I think. (hope) That book seems to be taking me forever to get through. It's not that it's not good, I like it, it just seems really long for what it is.
DeleteOH AND I'm also looking forward to BIW!!!!
ReplyDeleteBefore I Wake is going to be a killer. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I am so excited for it. Rachel said that people die in it too. I don't even want to think about that... She is so good at throwing us for a loop and totally surprising us.
DeleteI haven't read any of the books in the Soul Screamers series, but I really need to since I'm doing the challenge LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha! You have all year. They really are awesome though!
DeleteAmy, I love you for hiding spoilers! I haven't read this series yet.
ReplyDeleteThis blurb is super spoilery for people who haven't read all 5 of the previous books. I wouldn't want to be spoiled, even if by accident, if I had not read the books yet.
DeleteI just finished the first book in the Soul Screamers series and it was awesome. I don't know why I didn't read it before. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I hope that you enjoy the other books in the series too!!
DeleteNew follower here - I haven't read this series but I have the series yet, but I have them sitting in my room!

We seem to have the same taste in books. :)
Delete1. THANK YOU for putting that in white. I hate when I accidentally read a sequel's description and it ruins the other books for me.
ReplyDelete2. I really need to read this series! Even most who aren't a fan of paranormal are in love with it. I can't say I've ever read a series centering around a banshee, so I'm definitely interested. If only my library had it. :(

You're welcome. I hate when I see something I don't want to see. Even though it says spoiler sometimes you accidentally see things. :) I love this series and really didn't want to ruin it for anyone.
ReplyDeleteI've Wither and Fever to my TBR. I've seen a lot of recommendations.
ReplyDeleteI finished Wither, but won't be able to get to Fever for a little bit.
DeleteI am LOVING the cover for this one. Great pick Amy! I have the first book in the series and need to read it. They sound amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI know!! The cover is so gorgeous!! I love the pink! I know you have tons to read, but this series is so worth the time.
DeleteI'm glad you liked Wither! I've been looking at reading it for awhile now, but just haven't gotten to it.

DeleteI still have to read this series, great pick!
