Waiting on Wednesday/ WWW Wednesday 3-7-12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine  to share what book you are highly anticipating the release of.

My Waiting On Wednesday this week is The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. I thought I had done this one already, but didn't see it when I briefly scanned my posts. Even if I have, that just shows how much I really need want this book.

Overview

You will kill. The only question is when.

In the dark days since the insidious Red Lung virus decimated the human population, vampires have risen to rule the crumbling cities and suburbs. Uncontested Princes hold sway over diminished ranks of humans: their "pets." In exchange for their labor, loyalty and of course, their blood, these pets are registered, given food and shelter, permitted to survive.

Unregistered humans cling to fringes, scavenging for survival. Allison Sekemoto and her fellow Unregistereds are hunted, not only by vampires, but by rabids, the unholy result of Red Lung-infected vampires feeding on unwary humans. One night, Allie is attacked by a pack of rabids, saved by an unlikely hero...and turned vampire.

Uncomfortable in her undead skin, Allie falls in with a ragtag crew of humans seeking a cure, or cures: for Rabidism and for Vampirism. She's passing for human...for now. But the hunger is growing and will not be denied. Not for friendship—not even for love.

Seriously!! DYING TO READ THIS!! Sounds so freaking amazing!!

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

I am currently reading: Intangible by J Meyers. I am enjoying it so far.

I recently finished reading: Cross my Heart by Sasha Gould, and On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves.

Next I am probably going to read: The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter, and As The World Dies: Untold Tales Vol 1 & 2 by Rhiannon Frater.

So that's my Wednesday bookish stuff. Leave me a link to yours and I will hop over to check it out.

  16. YES. Honestly, I love vampires when they're done well, and this looks like such a fantastic spin on the normal myths. I love the sound of it, I love the look of it, and everyone seems to be worshiping at the altar of Julie Kagawa (I have yet to read her Iron Fey series, but I will be soon!), so I cannot wait for this one to come out. Awesome pick. :D
