For as long as she can remember, 17-year-old Alexis Forbes can hear the thoughts of others. Most recently, she is disturbed by the dark, unfamiliar voice of a frightening killer: callous, cunning, charismatic…and dead.

She hears his every sinister thought. But she can’t tell anyone. No one would believe her. Alexis is suddenly being haunted by a terrifying past she doesn’t remember, and a ghost with a serious score to settle. Even Chance, the gorgeous new guy she’s falling for, has his own ghostly secret. He’s definitely not like any guy she’s ever met. Alexis soon discovers she has a connection to the dead and it runs much deeper than she could ever imagine. And if the sociopathic entity has his way, she’ll finally be sentenced to the fate she escaped thirteen years ago.

Five Books Taryn would want to live in/be a part of.

Five books I'd want to live in would be:
The Iron Fey
Vampire Academy
The Mortal Instruments
The Black Dagger Brotherhood
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (haven't read the books, but I  love the TV show)
Not only are these some of my all-time favorite series (Also, The Hunger Games, but I don't want to live in that book), but the authors created the most captivating worlds with fantastic characters that I'd love to hang out with.
Yes, each of these books has a swoon-worthy guy (or guys in the case of The Black Dagger Brotherhood), and all of them are on my "book crushes" list. But they also include strong female heroines. I'd love to be friends with Clary, Meghan, Rose and Buffy.  They know how to kick butt and take care of themselves. I'm sure they could teach me a move or two, which would be so cool.
Okay, back to my book crushes, because they're so fun to swoon over. I'd love to meet Jace, Ash, Dimitri, Angel and (hmm, favorite brother, this is a hard one - I'll narrow it down to three) Rhage, John Matthew and Quinn. All of these characters are at the TOP of my book crushes list. I don't know what it is about this group of guys. They have their bad-boy and sensitive sides, which are always fun, and we all know they're hot, but they would also do anything for the people they love. I admire this quality in a guy.

What great choices. I completely agree with The Iron Fey, The Mortal Instruments, and Buffy!! I haven't read Vampire Academy. *gasp* I know, I know... And yes, there are some totally swoon worthy guys in those series!!

Thanks so much for stopping by Taryn, it's been a pleasure having you!!
