Teaser Tuesday (24)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! You should too, it's really fun and a great way to find out about other awesome books, and blogs. Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teasers this week come from Grave Mercy by Robin LeFevers. I just finished reading it.

My Teasers

"You came to us a lump of clay, and we molded you into an instrument of death. Duval is the bow through which we will launch you at our common enemies." (pg 111 eARC)

It galls me that I am painfully aware of every movement he makes, from shrugging off his cloak over his shoulders to pulling off his worn leather gloves. His hands fascinate me, and I remember the feel of them against my waist, along my arms. (pg 132 eARC)

Not really the best teasers, but I think they give you an idea of the writing. I loved the writing style.

Leave me your link and I will check out your post as soon as I can. :)

    1. The writing is really great. I was a little lost with the history at first, but after I googled it I had a better understanding and it made the book much more enjoyable to read.

    1. I hope when you get to it, you enjoy it. I think that it's better suited to people who are into historical fiction, but it's still a great book for those who aren't.

  4. I love these, especially the first one. I've heard VERY mixed things about this one, but I really love the premise, so I know I'll read it, though it may just be from the library.

    1. This definitely isn't a book for everybody. I do like historical fiction sometimes and it was even a bit too much for me. Overall it was good though.

    2. Hehe love ya chick!! The writing style is fantastic. It's a good book, just very confusing if you aren't familiar with the time period. Once I googled it I was all set.

    1. Yes!! I loved Duval. I think if it weren't for the writing style, I may have put it down. I had a hard time getting into it. Then I saw in someone's review of it that they googled it and so I did the same. What a difference that made. I was able to enjoy it much more when I wasn't confused. Lol. History was never a favorite of mine.

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
