April Recap

Wow! can you believe it's already May?! This year is just flying by. I feel like I have read a lot of books, but there are so many that I have not read and really want to. I did okay this month. I didn't do great on my challenges besides my Goodreads reading challenge though. So I will list the books I read in April. Clicking the title will bring you to the Goodreads page. I know usually I have it link to my review, but I figured bringing it to the Goodreads page is better.

Breaking Beautiful by Jennifer Shaw Wolf (Debut author)
Shadows On the Moon by Zoe Marriott
Pretty Amy by Lisa Burstein (Debut author)
Destined (Wings #4) by Aprilynne Pike
Inhale (Just Breathe #1) by Kendall Grey (adult novel)
The First Days (ATWD #1) by Rhiannon Frater
Fighting to Survive (ATWD #2) by Rhiannon Frater
Siege (ATWD#3) by Rhiannon Frater
Kings & Queens (Kings & Queens #1) by Courtney Vail (Debut author)
Hemlock (Hemlock #1) by Kathleen Peacock (Debut author)
Endure (Need #4) by Carrie Jones

I am no longer taking part in the Debut Author challenge but I read four debut author books.

I didn't read any books towards my TBR Pile Challenge or Sensational Second Challenge :(

I read 12 books towards by Goodreads challenge of 125 books this year. According to Goodreads I am 13 books (or 10%) ahead of my goal. I have read a total of 54 books towards my challenge.

That was how my month of April went. I had a few blog tours, cover reveals and other random stuff too. Not to mention the coolness of the Daemon invasion tour news!! I am also part of the street team, #TeamAlienHotness is my team, and it has some awesome people on it.  I am really looking forward to it!! Thanks to all my followers whether new or old, and thank you to the non followers who take the time to stop by my blog. I love you all!! Hopefully May will be a great month for reading since there are so many awesome books coming out this month! :)

    1. It doesn't surprise me that we read a lot of the same books. Totally soulmates!! ;) I can't wait to see what you think of Pretty Amy. I really liked how realistic the characters and their behavior were.

    1. Thanks hon! I started doing them because last year when I did my end of the year recap it was crazy. This year I can just do a basic end of year one and link to the monthly recaps. Much easier lol!! I hope you enjoy Pretty Amy and Hemlock. I really liked both of them.

    1. I hope I do well in May. I seem to be averaging about 12 books a month. I know I won't get to any of my TBR pile in May, but hopefully in June I will have some time to. Thanks so much for the enthusiasm!!

    1. Shadows on the Moon was so good!! I loved it too. I am still reading all the debut author books I had planned on reading too, just not participating in the challenge anymore. I don't need to feel rewarded for books I want to read anyways.

  6. I say you had a GREAT month :) I don't participate in challenges because I'm a moody reader and challenges (even the flexible, year long ones) make me feel like I need to commit and then I feel pressured, lol.

    1. Hehe! I set my goals pretty low so I don't feel horrible about not getting to them. I am really hoping to not fail any of them, but if I do it's just letting myself down. No one else lol!!

    1. Hemlock was pretty awesome!! I am proud of how well I am doing on my GR challenge. Some of those were novellas and short stories, but I still would be a few books ahead. Hopefully I can keep it up. :)

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
