*Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
Hey everyone!! Welcome to another Stacking the Shelves and Weekly Recap. Man, I feel like this month has like disappeared. It's crazy how fast it is going by. This week I got no physical books so I am not doing a vlog. (I know you will all totally miss my face, so sorry. I promise a vlog next weekend though.) I actually only got a few ebooks, so it was a nice small week. I am doing pretty good at sticking to my book buying ban. So onto the books.
Books
I bought:
- Fairytales of Hans Christian Anderson (the link is to the Kindle version on goodreads, I didn't feel like searching the 390 different editions to find the one I got lol)
- VS Reality by Blake Northcott
Won:
- Barely Alive by Bonnie R. Paulson (won from Zombie Craze @ The Bookish-Brunette)
- Dante's Girl by Courtney Cole (from the author)
Thank you so much to Ashley, Bonnie and Courtney!! You girls totally rock!! Much love to all of you.
Weekly Recap
This week on the blog I had four reviews. The Mayfair Moon by J.A. Remerski, Tempting the Best Man by J. Lynn, On the Day I Died by Candace Fleming, and The Last Bastion of the Living by Rhiannon Frater. (Which is also a tour stop and has a great guest post from Rhiannon) I had a cover reveal for Triangles by Kimberly Ann Miller and a few other great covers from this week. You can read the first chapter of Dante's Girl by Courtney Cole. I also had a few weekly memes. Top Ten Tuesday and Waiting on Wednesday.
That was my week. I would love to see your recap and/or what books you got. Leave me a link to your post and I will stop by as soon as I can.

I had a slow week too, also not complaining because I have so many books already that I should have read. Ha ha. I love HCA's fairytales. One day I will own this http://bit.ly/Ntm9RH along with the others like Chronicles of Narnia, etc. I need those pretty books on my shelf! :)
ReplyDeleteYes I want the leather bound collections too!!! The Alice in Wonderland one is gorgeous. It's ink!!
DeleteHANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSON FAIRYTALES! :D I love fairytale retellings and all of that wonderful stuff, but there's nothing quite like the original fairytales.
ReplyDeleteI love The Little Mermaid so I decided to get the whole collection. I want the leather bound collection, but the nook version will do for now.
DeleteYou had a fabulous week! I've never read Hans Christian Anderson's fairytales. I should change that! :)

I have only read his version of The Little Mermaid and I was going to get that for my nook when I came across the collection. I couldn't turn that down.
DeleteHmm I haven't heard of any of these, but I hope you enjoy them! :) Book bans are so good for catching up on TBR lists, right? I'm always on a book ban. :(
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Stacking the Shelves!
I have hundreds of books to read that I have bought, so until I get that down a little I am trying to only buy books that I feel like I can't live without haha!! (Or ones that are a super good deal.)

DeleteI totally agree about time flying by- I can't believe June is almost closer! I'm sad, because that means it's one more month closer to the start of school. =( Anyways, I'm totally jealous that you got Dante's Girl! After reading that excerpt on your blog yesterday, I'm totally dying to read that!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those books, and happy reading! <3

I meant to say that June is almost over! I think I need a nap. XD

DeleteYay for fairytales! I should get this one too for my nook, I would love having these stories with me wherever I go :) The other books you have here I have not heard about, so I got some homework to do now, lol! Thanks for sharing and enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe the collection was so cheap. A few weeks ago I got the whole Grinmm's collection for $1.99 too.
DeleteI haven't heard of any of these books! I really need to implement a ban on myself, the book buying is getting a little out of control but I Just. Can't. Stop! Missed seeing your face this week Amy! Enjoy your goodies :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, my face will be back for the next one. I just didn't have any reason to really do a vlog this week. I am going to a signing on Thursday though so I will have at least one book to show off this weekend.
