Blurb:
Since
the car crash that took her father’s life two years ago, Emma’s life
has been a freaky—and unending—lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents”
has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma
spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in
love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who
makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.
It’s
not easy being dead; especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate
has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him
hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die
before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect
the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it
means sacrificing the only thing he has left. His soul.

About The Author:
Tara
Fuller writes novels. Some about grim reapers. Some about witches. All
of course are delightfully full of teen angst and kissing. Tara grew up
in a one stop light town in Oklahoma where once upon a time she stayed
up with a flash light reading RL Stine novels and only dreamed of
becoming a writer. She has a slight obsession with music and a shameless
addiction for zombie fiction, Mystery Science Theater, and black and
white mochas. Tara no longer lives in a one stop light town. Now she
lives with her family in a slightly larger town in North Carolina where
they have at least three stoplights.

Old New

I must say that I think I like the new cover better! The old cover was a bit cliche, with the whole girl on the cover thing. The new one has a bit more YA feel to it [not much of a paranormal feel, though]. It's not my favorite cover out there, but definitely an improvement over the first one. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the new cover, Amy! <3
-Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life
I like them both, but I think that the new cover seems to fit better.
DeleteI love both covers, but I have to say the new one is a lot more fitting ! I'm so excited for the release of this book. It sounds so awesome ! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Amy. :)
I know!! You just used this book for your WoW last week!! I agree with the new cover seeming to be more fitting too.
DeleteWhat? Gah I loved the old cover better. I mean, the new one is pretty, but it's SO used! I can think of a dozen books I saw this year (mostly self pubs too) that have that exact cover. Hands holding. Boo! Though I love the lettering.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have seen a lot of the hand holding too, but I think this one fits. I loved the old cover, don't get me wrong. I just think this one will go with the story better.
DeleteI can't decide which cover I like best. Like Giselle said, the new one is slightly redundant. However, I do like that it incorporates who I assume to be Emma and Finn. I haven't heard of this book before but it sounds pretty interesting. It kind of resembles Abbi Gline's Resistance Trilogy though so I don't know if or when I'd read it.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking forward to this book. It sounds really good to me, but I love reapers so of course I want to read it. :)
DeleteI liked the first cover, but the new one is nice too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI do like them both. I loved the green on the first cover, jut that little pop of color.
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of either one, but I like how the new one is in full-color instead of black and white. I like the title font they used!
ReplyDeleteThe hand holding is starting to be seen a lot, but I really like the colors and I think that the new cover will go better with the story. I really like the font too. I actually liked how the old cover was black and white except for the font.
DeleteI like the new one better actually. It seems to go with the blurb more. It looks good either way.
ReplyDeleteValerie
I like them both, but like you I think that the new cover is more fitting.
DeleteI love the new cover. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI like it too!! I think it fits really well with the blurb.
DeleteI'm glad you posted the old cover too because I know I saw your post from the original but I totally didn't remember it. New cover is by far my fave! It kinda reminds me of Catastrophic History of You and Me!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great. Like I said, I really like the first one, but I like this one better. I like it when a cover fits a book rather than jut being a pretty cover.
