Fairy Metal Thunder Read-Along Week 3

This is week three of the Fairy Metal Thunder Read-Along. I am having a lot of fun. I love answering the questions and seeing all of the other answers. Oh, and of course, I am really enjoying the book. This weeks questions (Chapter 14-20) come from Tina's Book Reviews.


1. In the beginning of chapter 14, poor Jason is having a tough time at work. Its busy, people are rude, there are hot girls talking to him, big lady's are about to starve, all in all bad work day. So tell us about a time when you had to deal with a pushy customer or rude behavior, did you freak, keep it together, throw a slawburger?

I used to work at a small local grocery store when I was 16. For the most part I enjoyed it. It was mostly the retired people from the complex down the street that came in so you got to know them. Well, one day there was this guy who came to my lane with like a cart full of fish. I finish ringing him up and tell him the total and then he freaks out on me and tells me it's too much. (Dude, what the hell do you expect when you have like 50 packages of fresh fish.) So then he decides he's going to go through them and decide which ones he wants me to remove. I closed down my lane (which had like 6 other people waiting in it) and let him do his thing. I removed the ones he told me to and then told him the new total. He then started yelling at me telling me I am stupid and he wanted the other ones.
At this point I am frustrated and almost in tears. He is making a huge scene. Luckily I had an awesome supervisor and she came over and told me to go take a break and try to calm down, the guy wasn't worth getting upset about.
I was so upset by the whole thing that I almost walked out. I was nothing but polite to the guy and he was screaming and insulting me. I wonder if he is the reason why I am totally over sensitive now lol!!

2. In chapter 16 Jason is getting ready to shoot his rocking music video and perform for a crowd. Have you ever made a rock video, been in a play or anything that shows you doing something with musical talent? Extra points if you want to show us.

In middle school and high school I sang in a few talent shows. I don't have any of it on video. If I did I would totally show you guys. 

3. Speaking of videos, the boys have a little chat about Steven Spielberg in chapter 17, what is your favorite Spielberg movie? Can't think of one...well then tell us about one of your favorite Sci-fi movies.

I loved E.T. and The Goonies (Steven Spielberg didn't direct it, but he was a writer for it). I mean I like tons more than that, but I had to go back old school.

4. At the end of Chapter 17 the guys say bye to Dred who is getting ready to move, did you ever have to start over in a new school or new place when you were in highschool? Was it good, bad...horrible?

I never had to switch schools and I was friends with almost the same people from when I was little until I graduated.

5. If you had a pet Unicorn what would you name it?

If I had a unicorn I think I would name it something lame like rainbow cupcake or something. Lol!! It would be a pretty golden color with a pink and purple main and a turquoise blue stripe in it with a matching tail. It would also have a rainbow sprinkle pattern across the side of it's butt like a my little pony. Oh, and it would have pretty violet colored eyes. 

And just for fun: Would you rather be pecked to death by a vulture or eat a Goblins toenails???

That's a tough one, but I think that I would rather eat Goblins toenails as long as I could wash them and put something on them like BBQ sauce or something. I am willing to try anything once. And besides as gross as it is, I would probably survive it, where as I would not survive the vulture pecking me to death.

So that's week three. I can't believe how fast this is going by. It has been so fun. Can't wait to see all the other posts for week three.
