Fairy Metal Thunder Read-Along Week Final Week!

Hey guys!! This is the last week of the Fairy Metal Thunder Read-Along. This has been so fun and I have really enjoyed reading this book. I am sad that it's over, but I have to say that it was one of the more enjoyable read-alongs I have ever done.

Chapters 21-27 hosted by Jen of In the Closet With a Bibliophile

Chapters 21-27
1.  Grizelmore the Goblin has some really weird cravings and eating habits. Tell us about some of your weird eating habits. Bonus point if you can show me a picture!

Hmm I don't know that I have any weird eating habits. Does popcorn with junior mints and gumdrops count? It's really good. I also like saltines with marshmallow fluff on them.  I have also been known to eat frosting right out of the container. (I had a pretty pic of popcorn with my yummies on it but can't find it)

2.  In chapter 22 Aiode and her friends try to go and get their instruments replaced at the factory. There are a ton of different instruments there being made for the fairies, but man are they a fortune. Do any of you play any instruments? Have you ever played an instrument? If not, what would you play if you could?

I used to play the clarinet when I was younger. I can play the piano, guitar, and the drums a little bit too.

3.  Jason and the band are finally discovered by the elf (with the crazy long name) and Buttercake the freaking adorable unicorn who turns into something not so adorable. If you were a detective who would you choose for your magical accomplice?

I think that I would definitely want something a little tougher than Buttercake. Although very cool what Buttercake turned into, she got beaten by a couple of teenagers with magic fairy instruments.
4.  The book ends on a happy but painful note. What do you think of the ending? Were you happy with the turn of events?

I did like the ending. I am really looking forward to reading the next book now for sure!! Good thing I have all of them.
5. Tell us your favorite quote(s)/part(s) from the book!

So I suck and I didn't really write down any. I liked a lot of them though. Let me flip though and find one....

"My mom is going to kill me, " Mitch said, "then she's going to hire a necromancer to raise me from the dead so she can kill me again." Pg 115

I want to thank all of the wonderful hosts of this event and J.L. Bryan for a fabulous book!! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

    1. It was really fun doing the read-along. I have been wanting to read it for a long time, but felt like I couldn't fit it in so this was awesome. I just read a few chapters at a time in the afternoons between other books.

  5. I would say saltines with marshmallow fluff is odd. Lol. I'm not a huge frosting fan, but I can eat spoonfuls of peanut butter.

I would love to learn the drums. I love how they sound. I suck at piano. Then again, maybe it was being forced.

And popcorn with sweets? YUMMY!! I love popcorn. One of my favorite things about movies.

Oh I wanted to play the drums when I was younger. My mom just didn't want to deal with all the pounding so I suddenly got a flute. LOL Woodwinds for the WIN! :)

    1. I bought my 3 year old daughter a mini drum set and she loves it. I keep it in her room so it's not as loud. I wanted to play flute, but my mom bought me a clarinet. Lame lol!!

    1. OMG I dip animal crackers or teddy grahams in frosting too!! It's the best. Reminds of of Dunkaroo's. I think that's what they were called anyways. I used to eat them as a kid all the time.

  10. YES! Marshmallow fluff and frosting are two things I wouldn't be able to have in the house without sneaking it several times a day. It all started when my college roommate bought a can of cake frosting, never made the cake, left it in the fridge staring at me for weeks. I slowly ate that thing spoonful by spoonful over the next month. And that's my cake frosting flashback.

    1. Frosting is so good. It's like an addiction. I actually don't eat a lot of sweets, but frosting is a weakness.
