I read 15 books towards my Goodreads goal of 125 books. That puts my total at 84 which is 22% ahead of schedule. I am totally kicking butt with that!! The goodreads books total more than my actual reviews since some are novella's and short stories or a kid book that I didn't review. Either way I am still proud of myself.
As far as Debut authors I am doing really well with that. I am no longer participating in the challenge, but I am still keeping track on my own. I read 5 books toward my goal of 11 to 16 for the year so That brings my total to 21, so I have totally blown that goal out of the water. (Last month I said my total was 6, I'm not sure why, it was obviously supposed to say 16 lol!!)
I read 2 books that were sequels or companion novels so that brings my Sensational Seconds total to 10 and my goal was 8 I think. So I have now surpassed that goal too!! Yay me!!
Once again, I read none of the books for the TBR Pile Challenge. I am a major fail at that one. I really need to put aside some time for some of those books.
I am really happy with how I did this month even though I didn't do any for the TBR Pile Challenge. How did you do with your goals? Let me know in the comments, or if you have a recap post, leave a link and I will check it out!! I hope I can do as well for July!!
Congrats on kicking book butt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea!!
DeleteNice!!! Super excited to read Pushing the Limits!!
ReplyDeleteI think you will love it!! We are #Soulmates and all. :)
DeleteDude you are so kicking my butt with the reading list! Lol I've always been a fast reader, I just have NO freaking time!!!
ReplyDeleteYou=ROCKSTAR! <3
Thanks babe!! I'm not a very fast reader, but I read every night after the kiddo goes to bed. I have been trying to not get so distracted by twitter which has been really helping.
DeleteYou've read a lot of books this month. I need to go count how many books I've read too!
ReplyDeleteI agree time seems to fly really fast these days. :S
Good luck with GR challenge. You'll probably read more than you're scheduled to read. ;)
I really thought that I set that goal a little too high, but it seems like I will definitely make it.
DeleteYou did fabulous last month and you post is so much better than mine. Must work on that. ;)

Haha, I usually include the book covers too. I was too lazy this time.
DeleteJune HAS seriously flashed by. I can't believe I've already been out of school for 1.5 months. Time flies!! You had a great month in reading and posting though :)
ReplyDeleteThanks hon!! It gets hard to keep up sometimes. I have really been trying to get ahead and limiting my twitter time has definitely helped.
DeleteYou are doing great! You'll have to up your goal next year. My reading is sporadic. If I'm on vacation I can read two books a day. When I'm home and busy, I sometimes struggle to read one book a week. I love that you keep it fun -- if the goal stuff stresses you out it isn't worth it.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying keeping track of the books I've read. I've never done that since I was a kid in the library summer reading program!
It's fun to do the challenges and set my goals, but I don't let it bring me down. The only person I am failing if I don't complete a goal is myself, and myself doesn't care too much lol!! I think it's fun to see how much I have actually read. (and amazing really!!)
DeleteYou had such a fantastic month, Amy!! Congrats on doing so well. =) I have been really bad about updating my challenges, I actually think I will go and do that right now! But you seem to be doing great in all of your challenges. <3
ReplyDelete-Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life
I keep forgetting to update my challenges on their pages on my blog, but I have it all written in a notebook so I can do it when I remember lol!!
DeleteYou read so many books Amy! It makes me very envious =] Great picks as well. The TBR challenge is definitely the hardest, my goal was so low yet I am failing!!
ReplyDeleteCait x
Thanks Cait!! I am at home with my daughter so I have more time to read. I do blog stuff when she naps, so at night I am free to just read. Once I am working again I am sure that I will only get half as much done.
