Teaser Tuesday (31)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! You should too, it's really fun and a great way to find out about other awesome books, and blogs. Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Hi guys!! I have been having a hard time trying to choose great teasers for Teaser Tuesdays. I either think they aren't good enough, or they say too much. This week my teasers are from So Close To You by Rachel Carter.
Add to Goodreads

  • Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers
  • Publication date: 7/10/2012
My teasers:

"The people behind this are like the CIA, only more elite and more dangerous. They're the most highly trained military personnel imaginable, partnered with the smartest scientists in the world, and they'll do anything to keep this a secret." (Pg. 10 of ARC)

"I tilt my head back to lok at the ceiling - except it isn't a ceiling but a swirling mass of color. The center opens to a hole that gets larger and larger, and the noise is growing louder, the light brighter, and the whirlpool closer - until suddenly my body breaks apart and I float out into something that I cannot see or feel or hear. For one moment I feel solid but not whole, awake but not conscious, and then everything dips, dims, and is gone." (Pg. 56 of ARC)

*These quotes are taken from an advance reading copy and may differ in the finished copy.

Those are my teasers this week. I am not very far into the book, but so far I really like it. I am reading two books at the moment so I am bouncing back and forth, but I think I will be finishing this one quick. Leave me a link to your Tuesday post and I will check it out.

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
