*Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews

Welcome to another weekly recap and Stacking the Shelves!! OMG it's September!! You know what else it is? My 1 year blogoversary!!! I can't believe that my blog has been up and running for a year. It doesn't seem that long at all. Anyways, I will have a separate blogoversary post so I won't get all gushy here about how much all of you mean to me. My 7 year wedding anniversary is also coming up on Tuesday so it's quite a week for me. Anyways, I will get onto the books.

Hahaha!! Awesome screenshot!! I looked crazed or something.

  1. I hate it when YouTube doesn't give us enough of a selection with our thumbnails. They always catch me at my most awkwardest pose. HAH!

I haven't actually read any of Ellen Hopkins' books. I believe they're in verse? Enjoy all your books! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Lol!! That was the best out of 3. Yes, Crank and Glass are written in verse. I had never read a novel like that before. I am listening to the audio so it's different. I think I should try reading them on my own so I know where the separate poems are.

  4. My blogoversary is at the end of this month -- wow, a year went by fast!
Even though I don't like zombies, I thought Forest of Hands and Teeth was a great book.
I can't remember how many Percy Jacksons I read -- maybe one or two? They're so fun!

  9. Bahaha YES! I love the screenshot! I really want to read the Carrie Ryan series, I always pick them up at the bookstore but find something else I want. Also, I am featuring a review from a fellow blogger of Crank on the blog this coming week and it makes me want to read it soooo bad, but the whole "written in verse" thing kind of frightens me. Great haul love and HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY!

    1. Gotta love the awesome screen shots!! I liked Crank. I listened to the audio so it pretty much read like a normal book. I couldn't tell where each poem started or stopped. I have never actually "read" a book in verse. They scare me too lol!

  14. CONGRATS on your 1 year blogoversary! I'll save all my excitement and happiness for your blogoversary post. It's such a wonderful accomplishment though!

Anyways, I've been eyeing Crank. I've been thinking about reading it, especially because the author is having a signing in my area. So I'll keep an eye out for your review and see if I should read the book and go to the signing! And it's awesome that you're continuing the Percy Jackson series! I really loved all those books, and am actually seriously excited for The Mark of Athena, which is part of the spin off series. =)

Fabulous haul Amy! Happy blogoversary and anniversary! <3

    1. Yay!! Thank you!! Crank was good. I don't know how I would have been actually reading it myself though. I wonder if the poems would have thrown me off. On audio they just flow together. I have been really enjoying the Percy Jackson series.
