Book Description
Anna Whitt, daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself
she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive
to make such a claim. She’d been naive about a lot of things. Haunted by
demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it
means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her
school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the
while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart
and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

OMG guys!! I am totally loving the cover for this!! It is gorgeous! (For those who know me, you know I am a sucker for red and black, even though this is a more smoky, dark, pinkish, orangey red...anyways) Dude! I just really love this. I think it rocks!!
Look at them looking all pretty together!! And in case you have been living under a rock, this will be a trilogy!! The third and final book of The Sweet Trilogy, Sweet Reckoning, is slated for spring/summer 2014.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with this cover. It's perfect except for one thing: the model for Anna. Her expression kind of bothers me, and her face looks too angular or something. Still, I LOVE the model for Kaidan, of course, and the colors are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not a huge fan of the model for Anna. She doesn't really fit how I imagine Anna, but I do love the cover. If I ignore her face, it's all good.
DeleteI really like it! It matches nicely but had a bit of a darkly more chaotic feel. Plus the description mentions she will be traveling with Kope. I like Kope even if everyone loves Kai. lol
ReplyDeleteI agree!! I am a big Kope fan!! Kai is growing on me, but I'm still now swooning over him.
DeleteEven though I like book one's better I still think Sweet Peril looks awesome! It's got a darker, edgier vibe which definitely plays off the "new" Anna in book two. Although I think Kai is way-swoonier I still love Kope too. He's very sweet.
ReplyDeleteHaha!! I think that I am in the minority of people who does not see Kai as swoony. Now that I am done with the book, I totally get it, but still, I'm just not that into him.
DeleteI'll be honest. I'm really not a fan of either covers, though I am especially not a fan of the second. I love the girl's dress, but her expression? She looks drugged. But mostly I am not a fan of people covers. I like things and graphics and animals on my covers.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the expression on her face, but I do love the colors and the background.
DeleteLove this cover! I love Anna in the black dress. So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI loves!! I have to read this series, too! >.<
ReplyDeleteI really love that cover, the black dress is prettier than the red one. And the girls arms are positioned kind of awkward.. But I do think they are so pretty side by side :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to have this one in my hands!!
Very excited for this one!!!
ReplyDeleteValerie
