Waiting on Wednesday 10-24-12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine  to share what book you are highly anticipating the release of.

After seeing the gorgeous cover for this book I knew I had to use it as my WoW post. I mean it sounds awesome too, but the cover is to die for!! Ashes on the Waves by Mary Lindsey

Overview

Liam MacGregor is cursed. Haunted by the wails of fantastical Bean Sidhes and labeled a demon by the villagers of Dòchas, Liam has accepted that things will never get better for him—until a wealthy heiress named Annabel Leighton arrives on the island and Liam’s fate is changed forever.

With Anna, Liam finally finds the happiness he has always been denied; but, the violent, mythical Otherworlders, who inhabit the island and the sea around it, have other plans. They make a wager on the couple’s love, testing its strength through a series of cruel obstacles. But the tragedies draw Liam and Anna even closer. Frustrated, the creatures put the couple through one last trial—and this time it’s not only their love that’s in danger of being destroyed.

Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s chilling poem Annabel Lee, Mary Lindsey creates a frighteningly beautiful gothic novel that glorifies the power of true love.

Tell me you don't think that cover is super pretty!! (No, really don't tell me that because I will give you the evil eye.) Besides the fact that I am pretty much in love with that cover, it sounds awesome!! Mention Poe at all and it's almost guaranteed to be a must read for me.

So what are you waiting for this week. Leave me a link and I will stop by. :)

  12. Thank you so much for choosing Ashes on the Waves as your WoW pick! It was such an honor to work with material as amazing as that of Edgar Allan Poe. It features tributes to and quotes from over three dozen of his works.

I posted an excerpt on my website if you want to check it out: http://marylindsey.com/ashes/index.php

Thanks again! Have a great rest of the week.
