Good Gods It's Cold Deity Tour Recap

As soon as I heard that Jennifer L. Armentrout was going to be doing a siging kind of close to where I live I pretty went into super spazzy fan girl mode and was counting down the days until I could finally meet one of my favorite authors. To make it even better, Leigh Fallon was a special guest on the Burlington, Ma tour stop and I totally love her book Carrier of the Mark too. *cue the squealing and jumping* (which I admit I totally did.) Kate Kaynak (author of the Ganzfield series and cofounder of Spencer Hill Press) was also there, and Kim Harrington (author of Clarity and Perception) stopped by too!

Besides the great authors, I also got to meet some really awesome bloggers who are kind of from the area too. Shellie @ Creative Reads, Christie @ Christie's Book Reviews, and Cassandra @ Cassandra's Reviews ( I just realized that all of their blogs start with a "C" hehe) Anyways, that was my first experience meeting bloggers in real life and it was so great and so much fun. We were all there like an hour early and I think that we were driving people nuts who were trying to sit and read because obviously we were all totally fan girling.

So I admit, when Jen got there I totally freaked out. I was like "OMG! It's you!! GUYS! Jen's here!" As I proceeded to jump a little bit and then gave her a hug. (I swear, I didn't like pounce on her or anything)

Total fan girl moment right here! I was like a giddy child!!

And my fan girl moment with Leigh (She has the best accent by the way!)

Jen and Leigh telling all of us adoring fans a little about themselves

Me and Shellie. (Dude! She's really tall. I was wearing like 4 inch heels)

The whole group of bloggers and authors (from left Shellie, Me, Jen, Christie, Leigh, and Cassandra)
Sorry it's a bit fuzzy some of the guys were in charge of photos and had like 4 cameras each.

Ahhh, one of me with Jen and Leigh. I wasn't sure what camera to look at haha!

Shellie, Me, Jen, and Christie.

Lots of great swag, a poster, and a Deity t-shirt!! (the pic cut of the really cute Carrier of the Mark and Shadow of the Mark buttons.)

My signed Carrier of the Mark and some signed bookmarks!

My huge stack of books to have signed.

Lol! Love what she wrote in this. I feel bad too. She signed so many books and so much swag for all of us.

Yes, that is an original copy of Obsidian and an original Obsidian bookmark. :)

My copies of Obsidian and Onyx

I can't even begin to tell you how awesome of a night it was. I was about an hour and 45 minute drive there and so worth it! Though somehow I made it home in a little over an hour. Hmmmm. Jen is such a nice and funny person. I was so nervous to meet her and I really didn't need to be at all. Leigh is really great too. I have talked to both of them on twitter so much that it was like meeting up with friends. I mean, besides me getting a little crazy. I couldn't contain the fan girl in me. Also meeting up with the other bloggers. They are all so sweet and fun too. It was definitely a night I will remember for a long time.

  1. Looks like so much fun! I rarely go to signings because any that are near me are almost two hours away. :-( I hope to go to a few soon.

  2. It was a bit of a trip, but it was so worth it. I wouldn't have made that drive for just anyone. Especially out towards Boston. I am not a good city or traffic driver Lol!! There is a bookstore that is about 40 minutes from me that has signings on occasion, but not very often. It was really awesome to not just meet the authors, but other bloggers too.

    1. Yeah that is the other reason why I don't go. 2 hours isn't so bad but I have to go to San Francisco where the traffic and parking are horrible plus extra bridge tolls and sometimes paying for parking as well. It becomes a big hassle. We have a few signings in Sacramento that I go too but rarely do they have authors I am familiar with.

  3. Which B&N was this at? Our part of the state sucks! Lol. I'm glad you had an awesome signing with two authors you love :)

  9. I'm so happy for you!!! It sounds like such a great time & I love the pics.

I drove six hours to see Cassandra Clare. Each way. So I left at 12pm, got there at 6pm, left at 10pm b/c I stood in line over 2hrs to get my books signed after Cassie spoke. Then I got home at 4am. I was EXHAUSTED. But I'm so proud of all my signed books!

    1. When it's an author you are excited for the drive doesn't even matter!! I went to a Cassandra Clare signing, but I didn't know I could bring my other books since it was my first signing ever so I only got the one book and my nook signed by her.

    1. I was being really good about not grabbing too much swag. Oh and they weren't able to have the paperback copies of Elixir for the event, but maybe they will have them for yours!!
