Book Girls Don'tCry (9) Bloglovin' and Other Reader Options

Hello fabulous people!! This weeks topic on Book Girls is Bloglovin' or other such readers since Google Reader will be going away. I don't really have a whole lot to say about it because I don't really use a reader. I talk about it a bit, but not much. If you want some real info, check out Giselle's post. She really looked into the readers and gives a lot of information and even screen shots for both Bloglovin' and Feedly. If you want to hear my thoughts, you can watch my vlog. :)

We will be posting as follows:

Jenni @ Alluring Reads - Mondays (YouTube Channel)
Giselle @ Xpresso Reads - Thursdays/Fridays (whichever works best) (YouTube Channel)
Amy (Me) @ Book Loving Mom - Saturdays (YouTube Channel)

This weeks posts from the other BGDC girls:

Dude!! Epic face!! I even changed the thumbnail on YouTube too so I don't know why it is that one!

So yeah, I guess my reader of choice (when I actually use it) is Bloglovin'. I have put my follow buttons below for you if you would like to follow me. That's all I have for you this week. Hope you all have a fabulous Easter weekend!

  1. I've been trying both feedly and bloglovin. So far bloglovin is my fav. I'm super unhappy about losing Google Reader just because I hate change. Alas, I'm gonna survive it. Great post girl.

  2. I don't know much about readers, either. I've never really used Feedburner anyway, so... *shrugs*
I do use the Feedler all, and I love it. It's so easy and has some great sharing options, too . Good luck!

  3. Like Andrea, I've never used Feedburner either, so it doesn't really affect me I guess. But if GFC goes missing, then I'm definitely going to be upset.
    Thanks for sharing, Amy!

  4. I don't really use a reader either but I decided to try bloglovin' again as I used it awhile ago for a few wordpress blogs when GFC went away. I'm actually liking it so far. I usually just use my blog list on my blog or follow by email.

  5. I don't really use readers to keep track of blogs, though I've signed up to Bloglovin' anyway, just to keep the option there. I've also come to realise Google aren't very reliable...

  7. Ooh I like the curlies in your hair today!

A lot of the time I don't use my reader either, I just comment back to posts on my blog usually. I got Bloglovin' too but I have to admit that I haven't actually really used it.

HA Nice that you got to do some spring cleaning and you were forced so you didn't have to take the initiative.

I love how thorough Giselle's post was and ours are like "yeah, I use this." bahahaha

  8. I haven't seen Bloglovin. I'll have to check it out. I mostly get email updates on the blogs I follow daily. I also use GFC and feedburner occasionally.

  10. I went with Bloglovin too. I actually like it, they send me daily updates on some of my fav. blogs and it seems easy to use.

  11. I'd only *JUST* started getting the hang of Google Reader and everything so I was a little bummed that the were canceling it but like, it had some glitches to it too AND I was wanting to clean my follows (like you) so I don't mind anymore! I am slowly getting used to Bloglovin' AND Feedly...Giselle's pointers helped me learn more about Feedly (YAY!) but to be honest, like you I kind of go by which blogs I like. I have my favorites bookmarked in my browser and I just usually work through the list and then it's time to start over LOL

My blog is now an award free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but stopping by is reward enough for me. Thank you so much!!

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comments so I have disabled anonymous comments. If you are an anonymous user and a real person, I apologize.

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
