Waiting on Wednesday 3-20-13

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine  to share what book you are highly anticipating the release of.

This week I chose two books that I am really looking forward to reading. One is YA and the other is Adult, but both sound amazing. I might try to do that for now on. Choose one adult or new adult book and one YA or middle grade book. Keep things interesting lol!!

  • Publisher: St. Martin's Press
  • Publication date: 11/5/2013
*The catalog on the Macmillan website has the full blurb.

A psychological thriller in which a 14-year-old Elanor’s near-death experience opens a door to a world inhabited by bold, beautiful Madeline — a girl who is everything Elanor isn’t — and Elanor finds her life quickly spiraling out of control.

This one sounds really awesome! I read the full book description from the catalog and am super interested in this one!!

Gone Girl meets Before I Go to Sleep in this riveting psychological thriller about a grieving mother who finds out years after her daughter’s death that her child may still be alive

It's been eight grief-filled years since Geniver Loxley lost her daughter, Beth. Once a writer, Gen has settled into a life of half-hearted teaching while her husband, Art, makes his name and their fortune—and pressures her into yet another round of IVF. For Gen, battle-scared from years of failed attempts to get pregnant with a second baby, this feels like a cruel attempt to replace Beth. Life without her child is inconceivable, unbearable—but still it goes on.

And then a woman arrives on Gen's doorstep, saying the very thing she longs to hear: that her daughter was not stillborn, but was spirited away as a healthy child, and is out there, waiting to be found. So why is Art reluctant to get involved? To save his wife from further hurt? Or is it something else . . . something more sinister? What is the truth about Beth Loxley?

Close My Eyes is a deeply chilling and addictively compelling page-turner that grabs onto the reader and doesn’t let go.

This one sounds super emotional, but really good. Besides, the first paragraph tells me it's a viveing psychological thriller. How can I not want to read that?! Besides, I don't read nearly enough adult mystery/thrillers anymore and this seems like a good one.

What are you waiting on? I am always looking for books to add to my ridiculous TBR pile so leave me a link to your post and I will check it out!

I love comments! I will try to respond to as many as I can. I read every one of them, even if I do not respond to them all.
