Waiting On Wednesday 4-10-12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine  to share what book you are highly anticipating the release of.

This week my WoW pick is Frigid by J. Lynn! And Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout! (Yes, same person, I know!!)

  • Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
  • Publish Date: July 30, 2013 ebook only, then November 5, 2013 in paperback
For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

I will read anything she writes, and this sounds so good!! I'm super excited for it, and July isn't too far away!!

  1. I hadn't seen the cover for Sentinel but it's perfect. I can't wait to read Apollyon! And Frigid looks great too. Basically JLA is just amazing and I need all her books right now!

  2. Excited for both! Frigid has a best friends romance so I'm always happy with those. I can't believe Sentinel is the last book. Hope cuddle bunny is able to redeem himself.

  3. I'm excited for both these books too, but I have to admit the cover of Frigid is awful. >.<
I really like Sentinel's cover though.
    Great picks, Amy!

  4. Frigid sounds good, but I have to wonder why that guy's shirt is unbuttoned in the snow! lol

    Thanks for sharing, hon!

  6. I think I can say for a fact that JLA is a literary genius! She can make a simple story go beyond a simple story. I haven't started the Half Blood series yet but I'm looking forward on reading Frigid! Awesome picks!

Check out my Waiting on Wednesday pick!

  7. How does she have so many books out all the time? <_< And supposedly they're even all awesome! I say supposedly because I don't have firsthand evidence, lol.

    1. Well, a lot of the books she wrote before any were actually published, and she is a writing machine. I have met her and she says she gets bored easily so writing keeps her occupied. It's kind of like how we can read so many books, she just is good at writing them. :)

  8. SQUEE - Sentinel!! ♥ OMG I shared that on my blog's FB page the minute I saw JLA had posted it :D I was hoping it would be black and it is STUNNING. I love the simplicity of the flower & how it all looks together...can't you just picture it along with the other books in the series sitting pretty on your shelf?! *drools* Anyways, awesome choices Amy!!

  10. I hate this cover! (Frigid) I think it’s so cheesy with his open shirt in the snow…
I like the cover for Sentinel even though it’s simple.

  11. Oh it looks like a majority of people really hate Frigid's cover. I can definitely see why with the odd shirt position though O_O but I like the font! The font's good lol. And I agree Sentinel's cover is so simplistic compared to ever other Covenant book, but it's still great!

    Fantastic picks!

That made me laugh. Hoping to find JLA this year at BEA -- don't know how I missed out last year!
