Weekly Recap / Stacking the Shelves (61)

*Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews

Hello everyone!! So I went from having the best week ever last week, (meeting RDJ) to having a not great week this week. My dog is old and she had started limping so we brought her to the vet and it turns out she has bone cancer and there's nothing they can do except medicate her. The thing is, the meds are only working a little, and she's in pain still. We don't want her to suffer, so we only have about a week left with her. I will probably not be commenting much over the next week since I want to spend it trying to give Fluffy the happiest week I can. Sorry to have started this post so sad, but it's been a really tough few days, and it's really all I can think about. Of course you are all here for the books, not to hear about depressing stuff, so I will get on with it.

  1. I'm so sorry about your dog! I am really curious about RED and I'm thinking about trying JOYLAND, although Stephen King books usually make me way too sad! (Yes, sad, not scared)

  2. I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet doggie :( Pets become a part of the family! What a creepy U.P.S guy! He sounds like he was going in to stalker mode. Good thing you reported him-hopefully you won't have him deliver to you anymore. Congrats on getting Holly Black's book! Very exciting! I want to read the Infinite Moment of us. It sounds awesome, and I love the book cover!

    1. Thanks Lindy! And OMG that UPS guy was totally creepy. The lady said I wasn't the first to complain. He isn't my usual delivery person, I think that my regular was on vacation this week or something. Either way, hopefully I won't see that guy again. The woman promised that it's been dealt with and it won't happen again.

I was so excited to get The Coldest Girl in Coldtown!! I've been dying to read that book.

I'm glad you reported him girl, his behavior is NOT cool and unacceptable. Alright, on to more fun topics like books - YAY for Coldest Girl in Coldtown, I can't wait to read my copy too but it'll have to wait till closer to the release date...SO many books!! Nomad & Cipher looks awesome, but I'm especially dying to read Nomad (freakin' kick ass chick!!) Oh and those Yellow Joyland disks WERE cool, but then again I tend to get overexcited about colours too >.<

  9. I am a week behind. But I have noticed that we are in sync on our book hauls. I just did 62, which means that I was at 61 this week also. Random! Of course, if one of us skips a week, there goes that. Anyway, I am jealous of Red. RH turned me down. I shall go bathe in my tears.

That sounds gross. But. I'm off.
